Piet Vriend celebrated as honorary member
of The Dutch Hosta Society !
a few of the highlights about Piet Vriend found in this article.....
- joined The Dutch Hosta Society in 1990
- in 1999 became a committee member and soon
took on the responsibility as secretary
-2009 to 2012 found Piet as acting president,
secretary and editor for the club!
-2012, with the secretary position filled with someone new,
Piet was named President at the Annual general meeting!
Piet has also been, and still is, the editor-in-Chief
of Het Hostablad, the club's magazine!
-2017 Piet decided to step down as chairman
and focus his energy on Het Hostablad!
-2018 during our Hosta master Class and Meeting
Piet was celebrated as an honorary member !
A new hosta is introduced, Hosta 'Piet Vriend' !
A small gesture of appreciation for all what
