For the last few days we have been experiencing winter weather!

The Dutch are skating on frozen ponds!
For Hosta lovers, some awakening to a layer of snow, it was time to head to Amersfoort for The Dutch Hosta Society's Master Class and Meeting! Time to see photo's of hosta's green!

There were Dutch hand outs available so everyone could learn and follow along! After Jonathan's first presentation, we were all eager to go out and give it a go! From May until September!

Piet Vriend is now an
Honorary member of The Dutch Hosta Society !
And! He also has an Hosta named after him !

Piet Vriend's extended family surprised him when they showed up to share this special moment with him! Even one of the grand children gave a speech! Family, friends, members of The Dutch Hosta Society all thanking Piet for his years dedicated to the Society that is the friendship plant, the hosta!After the annual general meeting there was time for drinks, snacks and a chat before we all headed home with our very own Hosta ' Piet Vriend' ! Thanks Piet Vriend for all your time and enery and care that you share with us at The Dutch Hosta Society !
