Trying to stay ahead of the fast growing weeds
are what the volunteers are trying to do !
Plus they worked hard on trying to control Hosta Clausa. It had to be thinned out due to its
spreading habit , which it really does !(Mature Size: 19"T x 45"W) Spreading Habit,
- Glossy dark green leaves are elliptical and slightly rippled.
- Species form native to Korea that spreads and makes a great ground cover.
- Spreads by a rhizomatous nature which makes the width of this hosta infinite.
- Great hosta for colonizing an area that is hard to care for.
- Fairly sun tolerant if grown in good fertile soil with good moisture retention.
- In August this hosta produces a numerous amount of bright purple flower buds on tall scapes, that never open (clausa = closed).
Hostas really kick start the Spring feeling !
