The first Saturday in March! That's today!
Time for The Dutch Hosta Society to get together!
This year we're at The Sneul Farm(click) ! An old 1892 farm house!
Frans de Steur was our first guest speaker!
Diepenheim is better known for it's Art Society(click)!
And Het Gazebo (click)! Here's a bit of history!
The Hostas here were mostly chosen before1996!
Here's Frans de Steur sharing a photo of a part of Het Gazebo!
Thanks Frans for an inspirational tour of Diepenheim!
I'm sure a few of us will be heading to Diepenheim soon!
After a short coffee and stretch you legs break
Hugo Philips, My Hostas(click) was next!
Hugo shared lots of up to date international Hosta information!
Counties such as Japan, Korea, China, America and Belgium!
And a great story about Hosta 'Andy Murray' !
Look at these hostas growing in the wild!
And what's in store for Hosta lovers in the future!
This might be hard to read but
here's what is going on with Hostas in Science!
Hosta 'Gravity Rocks' is one to look out for!
A daily photo as this one starts to grow is highly recommended!
I'll take you up on that! This Hosta is on my wish list!
And also for me it's Hosta 'Candy Dish' !
This would go great with my afternoon tea collection!
46 members enjoyed your Hosta talk!
Then it was time for lunch! Outside! Dry and about 14C!
It's our tradition to serve soup, warmed over a portable gas burner!
After lunch the annual general meeting took place.
Two new board members joined our team! Welcome Ruud en Jos!
Hosta Happy Hour rounded off the day!
Thanks to all that joined in and made this day a Success!
