Hostas are growing !

Thanks to the volunteers at Het Gazebo Monomet in Diepenheim!

Weeding, watering, relocating hostas from here to there !

What  a green hosta oasis! A sight much appreciated !

Looks like there was no mid May frost damage !

April showers bring May flowers ?

But this year April had just 6 mm rain instead of around 44mm !

One day the volunteers are enjoying pancakes al fresco

and on their next visit...cooler temps and rain!

Yesterday was the third Wednesday of April and a group of local volunteers  enjoyed a pleasant Spring day weeding and getting the watering system up and running for the coming growing season at Het Gazebo! 1.5 meter social distancing is the new norm here in The Netherlands.  For Het Gazebo and dedicated volunteers is that easy to go by !

A great Spring Hosta day!

  Some cheery news from out Diepenheim... A few Het Gazebo volunteers started working on the new 2020 Het Gazebo plan! Potting up hostas, organizing them in groups and keeping Corona "guide lines" in mind Heidi, Jan and Arend did quite a bit to kick start the hosta growing season! Thanks! Restaurants are closed in The Netherlands. So, the volunteers packed a picnic and enjoyed coffee as the local ducks kept company :) Maybe we'll see you all in April?
