Hosta Mater Class and Meeting 2020 Cancelled

This years Hosta Master Class and meeting of the Low Lands Hosta Club on March 14th 2020 has been cancelled  due to the Corona Virus. The board members have decided to do their part in helping prevent further outbreaks. We hope to see you at another Hosta activity later this year !

Another year begins at Het Gazebo !

It's February 2020 !

 The volunteers are back for another Hosta year at Het Gazebo !

Morning was spent catching up, weeding and a coffee break

al fresco with traditional Dutch apple pie, thanks Frans!

After a hearty warming lunch we visited Art Gallery Alafran

where works by Luitgard Schultz were on display.

She has created amazing works of art

inspired by Het Gazebo Hostas!

Het Gazebo in the mist !

A cold misty day at Het Gazebo! Thick fog covered half the country! Might have been 3C ! That didn't stop the volunteers getting together for one last round of weeding this year! It was definitely a hot chocolate kind of day! We did enjoy that outside next to a campfire. By lunchtime the trailer was over flowing with weeds! That's it for this year! We enjoyed lunch together then headed to  Galerie Álafran(click here) where there is great collection of contemporary art. Works by Luitgard Schultz(clcik here) caught our attention! His inspiration came from hosta leaves in an Autumn garden! If you have a chance to visit Diepenheim during December and January there will be hosta fun contemporary art at Galerie Álafran Agenda (click here)
Thanks to all who helped and supported Het Gazebo in Diepenheim this year! We're looking forward to getting together in 2020!
