before the weather really changes !

Perfect weather for the Hosta shuffle !

The ground is still warm and rainy September weather has come !

It's the perfect time to dig up and replant hostas !

Small hostas were given more space

And others divided and planted through out.

Plus weeding weeding weeding !

The volunteers are ahead of the weeds !  

 A warm 24 C today. 

The much needed 10 mm rain came and was appreciated :)

Let's talk weather at Het Gazebo !

 We've had two heat waves, 

warmer than normal temperatures for this time of the year 

which meas a lot less rain fall !

But with all that being said,

Het Gazebo had a few gorgeous hosta growing months !

It's been a great Summer !

 Autumn begins next week !

We're ready to welcome those golden hosta colours !

Nights getting longer,

Days shorter , Autumn is approaching !

A golden hue starts to take over from the gorgeous Hosta greens ! 

Somewhere there's a frog . Can you spot it ?

A warm dry week forecast for the week ahead  !

Time to use the built in irrigation !

It's very warm ! 

 Another heat wave in The Netherlands !

That didn't deter the volunteers and friends

from catching up at Het Gazebo this morning

with water, coffee and Belgian bonbons :)

It's August !

The days are getting shorter, nights longer.

There's a shift towards the late summer Hosta garden.

Hosta growth has stabilized.

Hosta 'Wu-la-la' did do great after a rough start !

More and more seed heads replace flowers

But it's not Autumn just yet !

Next week we're expecting Summer 

temperatures once again !

The Dutch Summer weather continues !

And so does the weeding at Het Gazebo !

The team enjoyed coffee with fresh baked courgette cake

for their coffee break ! What a treat !

A beautiful location to spend a few hours !

Even the slugs choose their hostas carefully !

The Wednesday morning Weeding volunteers had couple of dry hours !

By 40 mm of rain last week !

The hostas are growing ,  so are the weeds !
