The Dutch Hosta Society's September garden tour was in Belgium!
Sunshine, 10 am and we were all ready!
Name badges, participant list and lots of enthusiasm!
Hosta Garden Over de Beek in Meeuwen was our first stop! More than 50 participants arrived to enjoy a welcoming cup of coffee and traditional Limburgs " Vlaai" in this gorgeous part of Limburg's Belgium!
This garden includes a stroll around a lake!
Hostas are still looking good here!
Thanks Claude Thirion Family for sharing your garden
and hostas in September with us!
Where does the time go?! Soon it's 12:00 and then it's off to Diepenbeek, Belgium! Park the cars. Time for lunch here before walking to our second garden of the day!
After an introduction from Vic, that included bits of information about his garden looking better earlier on in the year, we were all invited into his 3000 m2 garden!
Gardeners all have that...their favourite season in their own garden. Then we walked through the garden gate! Wow Vic! For September, this garden looks great!
Autumn colours, inspiration!
Creative! Cozy places to sit!
An Hosta path! Just have to take a look!
Thanks Vic! September! It's just fine!
Time to walk back to The Hosta Garden!
There's a lot more time in a garden when they're located closer together!
This is the third garden on today's garden tour!
1400 hostas can be found here!
Where does this path lead?
Super! The Hosta Garden Store!
What a selection! and still looking good!
At 4 pm it was time for the hosta auction!
With auctioneers Hans and Jannes, and Lies keeping track,
it was a great success with fun and laughter all around!
Snacks and drinks, the hosta happy hour rounded off the day!
What?! It's already time to gather our hostas and head for home!
Thanks to the Gelders Family for their generous hospitality!
From the amount of chatter and laughter heard amongst friends,
We all had a great time! In a beautiful garden! In Belgium!
3 hosta gardens in one day! In Belgium!
There is only one way to complete the day!
