Diepenheim 27 C !

A few months ago the volunteers were looking for a dry path to walk and a place to do a bit of weeding. Now, mid June, the vlounteers are planning to turn on the sprinklers next week !

The results look great !

Very warm dry weather expected for another week !

Summer days at Het gazebo !

Oh, so much to enjoy ! 

After all that much needed rain the last week

we're enjoying warm Summer sunshine !

So are the hostas !

Now's the time to come visit while the flowers start to bloom !

You don't see it here, but the volunteers are trying to 

keep ahead of  that creeping woodsorrel,

 Oxalis corniculata, klaversuring

This colour lilac seems to be the popular colour this year

in clothing  !

Today's 20 C was perfect weeding weather!

Wow ! Here's a super example of hostas in a border !

Welcome to Het Gazebo ! 

The results of all the hard work the volunteers 

have been doing is sure to be noticed !

Walk the weed free paths of this abstract hosta leaf

and notice that

More and more hostas are in bloom !

Hosta 'Wu-la-la' and 'Empress Wu' are thriving !

This is the month the hostas are at their best !

The weekend forecast is rainy and mild :)

It's a long weekend in The Netherlands.

Maybe you have time to visit Diepenheim

And the beech hedge that was planted in March during the

 NL Doet weekend is leafing out beautifully !

Perfect growing conditions at Het Gazebo !

Easter weekend was warm and sunny .

Monday brought cool weather and showers .

This means slugs and snails are coming out to eat as well !

There's a new hosta added to Het Gazebo collection ! 

Hosta 'Empress Wu' 

 XL /XXL hostas growing to 120 - 140 cm ! 

The volunteers were able to get a few dry hours 

of weeding in this morning .
