Getting the ground ready before the rain !

Rain is on its way !
And it's Spring! And the hostas are growing !
What a noticeable difference from last week  !
The volunteers were busy with bark mulch on the paths
and mushroom compost for the hostas!

Mushroom Compost has become popular in recent years with gardeners because it is so high in organic matter. It can be used as a soil conditioner and as a mulch, and is very good for growing vegetables in. Using mushroom compost will improve your soil's structure and water retention and add nutrients.

Growing greener at Het Gazebo

The hostas are growing at Het Gazebo!
The volunteers enjoyed a dry sunshiny day while they were
in Diepenheim weeding and replanting hostas !
A great day for it as well as enjoying coffee outdoors !
Did you catch a glimpse of the local horse and buggy as it passed by?
Where there are hostas there might be a snail close by !
